The Sleutelbos Collective consists of three members:

Ignar HillstrØm (synthesizer, beats)

Ignar, born in IksænØl on may 12th, 1983, grew up in the warm Swedish countryside. Being raised by his fathers Johansson and Petresson, Ignar discovered his passion for music at a very young age. His first major composition won him the 1996 KnØrfT award, which allowed him to flee the facsist regime that tormented Sweden during the mid nineties. Having played in a number of bands he eventually founded the Sleutelbos Collective in 2005.

Peter Vanderhoeve (electric/accoustic/bass guitar)

Peter was born in Brugge, Belgium, on august 2nd, 1985. Having aimlessly drifted through life for the first fifteen years of his life Peter experienced a moment of Divine Inspiration when he sipped some of the blood of Jezus Christ, which is, for those into those kind of things, still on display in the local cathedral. From that day he relentlessly practiced playing the guitar until he reached complete mastery of the instrument, thirteen weeks later. He already had played in various bands before joining Sleutelbos in 2005. Peter has won the Belgian Guitar Player of the Decade award seventeen times in a row.

Arjan Kok (piano, vocals)

Born in Deventer, the Netherlands, on March the 16th, Arjan led a quiet and reserved life for the first twelwe weeks of his existence. He first tried to pick up the piano by the age of three but his slender body couldn't carry the full weight of the grand piano and any further attempts where postponed. His interest in the instrument was revived when he learned Rachmaninov's third piano concert on a rainy afternoon, mostly because there was nothing on the television that was really worth watching. Except maybe for Beavis & butt-Head but that was a repeat of a repeat of a repeat. Really pisses me off that we have a billion channels and absolutely none of them broadcasts anything even remotely worth the time. Anyway, from that day on he continued to play the piano every sunday it rained. He never really won any related awards, although he has been McDonalds Employee of the Month twice. Arjan joined Sleutelbos on december 2005.
